NOME is a pullover-style summer bib with an all-over lace pattern. It can be worn like an open-back vest, but also draped over the shoulders or wrapped around the waist. It can be coordinated with any outfit, and the impression changes depending on how the ties are used, offering endless styling possibilities. We've prepared a kit with amirisu Parade, the yarn used for the sample.
The designer also made sure that it can be completed with just one skein. The pattern features repeated motifs, but the attractive pattern volume ensures that the bind-off comes just when you might start feeling a little tired of the repetition, which is a thoughtful touch for the knitter.
To knit it within one skein, first knit the two straps. Cast on from the hem of the back body and knit the lace pattern up to the shoulder line. Then, create the neck opening by BO and CO, and continue knitting the front body with the lace pattern. The front body uses all the remaining yarn, so knit until your desired length, then bind off and sew on the straps to complete.
