Staff Projects: I knitted the Sofia Cardigan with eye-catching cute red yarn.

Staff Projects: 目を惹く赤が可愛い <br> Sofia Cardiganを編みました

Today, we're introducing the Sofia cardigan, designed by Mochi knits.

Mei, one of our staff members, fell in love with "Rouge" from the Amelie series and wanted to knit a French-inspired design with this color. That's how she chose the Sofia cardigan.

The yarn used was Swing's Rouge held together with Isager's silk mohair (32). The pattern specified worsted weight yarn, but she was able to knit it without any problems (no wet blocking, only ironing).

"What I like most is that there's no seaming."

I particularly like how the yoke and collar are knitted in this design; the beautiful lines they create are a source of great satisfaction.

It was my first time knitting a collar, but the design wraps around the neck, and the finished result is very neat.

Also, this combination of two colors is my favorite, and it resulted in a very nice, subdued red-orange.

"The body section was all stockinette stitch, so I got a little sleepy. Even though it's a cute item, I'm not sure if I'd knit it again." I guess that means it was a really big project!

"Actually, I was planning to finish it by Christmas, but before I knew it, it was the end of the year...Still, I finished it before the Lunar New Year in Taiwan. I was working as usual, but during the New Year, I wore this cardigan many times and secretly enjoyed it all to myself (laughs)."

It was only recently introduced on the blog, but it was actually finished in February!

Everyone, let's aim to knit one for this year's Christmas!
